convinced her.
now i have the SL65 on way to the UK for us for when we move there. (which ever or who ever gets there 1st.) i have convinced my girlfriend that transporting the BMW M5 over to Englands going to cost alot. she still wont give up on the old E but its been a great car to us. never let us down so i am happy to shell out the $$$ to transport it. I have been lurking in the background alot now in these forums and i still dont know much about cars *blushes* but i would like to know for when i get to England what sort of car could i replace the M5 with. as we have a baby on the way it has to have more than 2 seats 
but has to be eqivilant if not faster than the M5 (so when i drive it i`ll rock the road) if someone could give me a few tips. i was thinking an E55? i dont want to go to the dealership again and sit there for 3 hours discussing which car to have and then having to go back next day to discuss everything else. so if some one could give me some ideas. i can show my girlfriend the pictures and book the relevant test drivesAgain Thanks in advance

Convince her? of what? Isn't it money that you earned? Get what you want. If its an E55 or a Ford Ka. You could get an E55, the new M5....it all depends what you want and what purpose the car will have. If its for her to drive............the Ford Ka is perfect.

Granted, I don't really get why you would have a car shipped from here to there seeing as its a 65, I mean it'd be easier just to shell out the money o'er there.
But, if you are looking at supersedans you have a few options.
1. E55 AMG
2. CLS55 AMG (4 seater)
3. BMW M5
4. Audi S6? (just released photos so I dont know how realistic that is)
5. S55/S65 AMG
6. Jaguar XJR???

Don't forget your umbrellas, and your windbreakers, as it rains every day, at least 6-7 times.
Anyways, don't worry about Left hand drive, my car is the same in London, and it just surprises people, took me a few weeks to get properly used to it, but it is perfect, why don't you get a Range Rover Sport, or Supercharged, it goes down well on our streets, however since you are coming from the US where the narrowest road is 4 meters, you may need some practice as some of out streets can barely fit a car through, especially on Sundays when cars are allowed to park *anywhere*!!

ah... i see one of you got it wrong. i have ordered the SL65. BUT the dealership emailed my order and things over to a dealer in england. so basically i`ve ordered the car in england. mercedes will deliver the car to england so it will be a RHD. and my girlfriend refuses to get into anything small and the ford KA is... not exacally big is it :P we thought about the Porsche cayanne (is it that 4x4?) the BMW x5 4.8 and of course anther M5 but my girlfriend has found few things (nothing mechanical just styling) that she doesnt like. the E55 is brilliant. we used to rent alot of mercedes or high performance sedans for a week or two at a time and the E55 was just mind blowing 
the only car we are shipping is my old E220 its been loyal to us and i think we are just taking it to be loyal back. plus my gf threatened to kill me if i sold it :P i will definatly give you a call when i arrive joujiAMG would be nice to meet up and see what we can think of for the merc owners of england haha :P
