I possibly Ran into a Murcielago Today
Initially I thought it was a Gallargo. I needed to make a u turn, so I gave the 604 horses a slight kick and jumped in front of it until I made my turn. Stock on Stock who would win this one in a straight line run?
By the way it was a gorgeous yellow and driving on Okeechobee Blvd.

i have an issue of autocar from some years back (03, i think) that did accel. runs: gt2, murci, sl55, 550, vanquish.
i posted times before, do a search.
the murci is faster to 150 and the 55 catches and passes by 186.

The Murci Should kill the SL55 from any speed, especially at 180..maybe there was something else done to the 55 or the condition of the murci wasnt to great.

is this ur assumption, or a verified statement?
the sl had the limiter removed, i believe amg in germany removed for this test (not sure thats the test though, i might have read that in some other amg test). but the car was stock otherwise, it ran to 60 at 4.6 or 4.7, which is average.
there was nothing wrong with the murci, if i remember correctly it was the fastest up to 150 (and most likely up to 160+), and it had a very fast 60mph time.
search for the times, i posted them a while back

Yes, the SL55 does beat the Murcielago to 186, boo-who! 
I'm certain the Murcielago wouldn't pull too much on a 55 even from 60-- that car is wayyy heavy.

Actually a SL55 with the 030- AMG Performance package has the 155 mph limiter removed and will allow a 188 MPH top speed. Keep in mind that it is still governed, albeit at 188 MPH. Also a SLK-55 with the 030 option will hit 176 MPH!

An SL55 will not beat a Lamborghini Murcielago. You cannot compare these two cars. Although both are absolutely stunning machines, they are entirely different vehicles. DBerry, a stock SL65 will not beat a stock Murcielago. I believe the best times I saw for a Murcielago (officially documented) was 3.5 to 60 with and 11.5-7 qtr mile. That, along with a top speed of 205 mph. Even though the 65 has more power, bear in mind that it weighs a good 500 lbs more and is less aerodynamic. But regardless of how fast the Lamborghini is, the Mercedes will wrap you in luxury and will kill Ferrari's while doing so.

Stock SL65's will get those 1/4 times all day long without burning up a clutch. Most Murci guys won't even launch from a dead stop but I wouldn't bet against the SL. I would bet since it is automatic it would take the Murci 8 out of 10 runs.

SLs are pretty much the best all around cars out there (thats why I have one), but they are not even in the same league as a Murci.(also why i have one) Murci wins the race standing still

i have posted tikmes that say that a sl55 is faster to 186, recorded by a very respectable magazine.
if u dont know for sure dont just talk about **** u dont know.
2nd,
we're only talking about accel. u can compare a ****in plane to a car, who gives a ****
