i know the color and wheels are fugly, but the nose seems to be on point. it's not performance products or lorinser, as you can see the lower nose is fused to the bumper and the hood is like the slk.

keyes in van nuys had a black sl55 with that same hood a couple of months ago in their showroom. you might want to call and ask them.

I think the problem is the transformation just looks like a very tame SLR which takes away from what was a beautifully designed SL. I think Mercedes will have to think - either just update the design and try to incorporate the Euro Laws safety features required - or if they want to go the SLR way - to go the whole way and make it exactly like the SLR, aggressive and nasty - going halfway just won't do it.

I remember seeing that car in their back lot area. I thought it was the rumored 07 my upgrade. It looks pretty nice in person.

wow, i am surprised alot of you don't like the looks of the nose. the old grill seems so dated. i guess i'm not what you call a true mercedes enthuisiast as i don't look at this particular car to be anything special in it's heritage. now a 993 is a different story to me.
as for purchasing an slk, i think they did an amazing job in the lines of that car, but unfortunately in my mind when i imagine the driver i see a girl behind the wheels. no insult to any males that own this car as i don't know ****.

that's what the sales-douches tried to tell me too. i was surprised when I saw the actual '07 upgrades on this site. The hood is well executed/integrated -- it's definitely double/triple-take material. I always thought the SLK is a bit too short to sport that SLR hood-spear design anyway...
