They've been doing this since 2003.......back then the new SL was untouchable so people went to some deperate measures to get the look!

I agree, I had an argument in my 129 with a gatepost and needed a new door. The alignment was never quite right, especially in the area of the plastic clip on lower panel at the back edge of the door though it was never as bad as this example. To get it right, you need to change the door hinges and put it on a jig to get the mounting points millimetre perfect.
