very low-mileage SL65s...
would someone please enlighten me as to why SL65s are being returned to dealerships with 2k to 5k odometer miles?
the last two starmarked MY2005s have had under 2400 miles, and were priced at 140k and less.
i'm supposed to learn the ask of the third one today.

SL65 2005 deal...
so, how about this:
starmarked
clean service record; no known issues
5,100 miles
designo graphite
all options except distronic and phone.
one driver (who's gotten i guess at least 50 cars from this dealer)
original sticker just south of 200k
ask: 140k even
is this the right deal?

i haven't asked about prices for other MYs.
this one is ~60k less than original MSRP, and i haven't yet gotten into it with them. the price is the same as others in hotter markets, so designo seems to be a freebie.
i think it's less costly than a fully optioned 2006 SL55.
strangely, insurance is only 165/year more than for my 2002 CLK55.

Its probably less than the 2007 SL55 I just ordered and less than the 2006 with full options and designo.
If you dont go for it, Id consider it. Where is it located?

if i decide against it, then i'll gladly give you the location and contact person. until then, i'm mum.
may i ask why you included "777" in your moniker?

777 is a random thing, I guess, although my initials prs="7" on the phone touchpad, but thats a stretch.
Good luck
Never mind I see the sat radio antenna.

I would say yes. does it have the X11 designo black interior? If so, I have that on the silver arrow and I would say grab it. I have distronic and have never used it once so I wouldn't miss that. The phone can be added whenever, it is already prewired. Nice unique color. I don't get why people would buy new 55's when cars like these are around for the same money.

i'm uncertain about the satellite radio. would the antenna be visible?
i'll let you know when i know, but i think it wouldn't change my purchase decision.

Yeah, that looks like it. I think on the regular, the instument cover is alcantara. It is hard to tell from the pics but in person it is a different, blacker leather with much more detailed stitching.

Juice it...
okay, will do. they provided a list already, although not direct from netstar in format.
tomorrow i'll find out which phone(s) are compatible and how much they'd be.
usually, i purchase and hold on to cars. so, extended warranty is a thought. i believe that's not typical when it comes to 55s and 65s, but it makes sense for us. i think the car will be fun enough to keep longer than the warranty time limit, if not the mileage limit.
have you heard of any problems peculiar to the 65?
