Pictures of my SL55 vandalized both taillights broken, passenger side rear view mirror damanged and 3 dings on passenger side. This is only a week after I got my car back from a K2 upgrade.

parked in a not so bad neighborhood. acutlaly it was at my gf's house where i have been parking on their driveway on weekend for over a year now. This was the result of an argument my gf had with her friend and 18 hrs later. This what turned out. Police report filed, waiting for the detective to see whether they have enough evidence to arrest the individual. Just thought this whole thing is really immature.

i totally agree. Vandalizing anything, let alone a beautiful automobile, is an act committed by a sick minded individual.

dude, that sucks! HOpe your insurance covers vandalism! *******s should be put through the same acts as they did to the car. it's gonna be hard to get a convition though unless you got witnesses. Hope you get it fixed soon, that's some bad damage there... Maybe you can park in your girlfriend's garage next time!

thanks for all the comforting comments guys. It's not her who did it, it's actually her bf and I actually received a threat over the phone. Cops say the "terroist threat" is actually a lot more serious than the vandalism . Just waiting to see what happen.

haha NO, my gf got in an argument with her female friend, so her female friend sends over female friend's bf to vandlize my car. I should have just stayed single. I love my car more than my gf anywayz.

The damage to your car and the phone threats are very serious offences
here in CA. That guy is looking at jailtime with restitution.
Stay on the LAPD or whoever your PD is. Would also suggest
a restraining order on the guy. He is going to be even more pissed off
when he goes to jail and then gets out. Get a police report and
an attorney and get to court quickly. Protect yourself.

Sorry to hear what happened to your car, I was a bit courious and I had to ask is the door on the SL made of plastic like the E? Seems like a pretty hard hit to ding the doors like that.

update on my car,

brought in to a dealer's onsite bodyshop, they decide the door aint' worth fixing so they will order oem door from benz and just paint it. so all the damamnged part is replaced w/new parts. The shop even told me they can deal with teh insurance and told me not to worry. Hope this will not **** off my insurance company.

Not intended to make you feel worse but once the door is replaced you will have to disclose it when you sell the car, so the damage is really greater than the repair, as some people will not buy a car that has been repainted. Insurance companies unfortunately do not pay for the loss of value of a car due to body repairs. Save the photos so the future buyer of your car can see it was not whacked. Good luck.

nope, he didn't go to jail or arrested for doing this . Because there was no witnesses. But I'm feeling much better now because I get my car back in less than a week.

I always disclose pre-existing damage and/or hidden service issues when I sell a car.

Part of my reasons for doing that are ethical: a seller should reveal everything that s/he would want to know as a buyer.

And part of my reasons are legal. I am not a lawyer, but I do know that basic contract law precludes me from misrepresenting the goods that I'm selling. A buyer can sue for damages or even rescind the sale if the seller is guilty of misrepresentation.

I respect that, but I didn't think a private seller had to disclose any history, I bought a 7-Series from an individual several years ago and I came to find out that he had been rear ended, the trunk and rear bumper had been replaced, no other damage was on the car and it was perfect work, and the car had been 100% problem free, so I didn't take anything further. I had spoken with a dealer friend of mine that said he didn't have to disclose it. Maybe he's wrong?
