You should drive it more than 20 miles just drive the car, The warning massage will go away.

My car tipped to one side for a while and I did two things that cured it. I had one of the abc struts replace($1800) and had the fluid flushed in the ABC pump. My car only tips a little after it sits for 4-5 days. Once I start it up it goes back to normal.
Sorry for your loss ERC, You sound like a good daughter.

please stop telling her it was a air suspension. it is a ABC hydraulic system. you problably need the valves checked and the suspension worked on. it will raise and reset the lights when started by using the height adjustment buttons up then down to regular height. they do drop in the front evenly, but not side to side, after a long time (2 months) without driving. ask you service dept manager for an aftermarket extended warranty company they like to use for the cars such as fidelity.
perhaps someone in your area on the board can recommend a better dealer.

if it's still tipping with the batteries fully charged, perhaps it's a problem with the SBC? maybe one of the air suspensions in the front is losing air or something. if it happens in the period of one week, that might be how long it takes for the suspension to leak out? not sure, just a guess. maybe your dealer should consider that possibility. but one thing for sure, you should drive it more. you have a true beast in your collection.

Thanks for all the information...By the way im not the woman who bought the car from mom when dad died...Just another SL55 owner with the same problem. Hopfully it wont cost too much. I just put $2200 into the hydralics for the convertable top and $4000 for a new gas tank. Im done throwing money at this car. The mecanic thinks its a leak in the ABC he says it was very low on fluid. He filled it and was test driving it....We'll see...

Hi
Are you plugging your battery charger into the cigarette lighter socket because if you are, you will need to leave the ignition key turned to the first position for it to charge.
I connect a voltage controlled charger straight onto the battery in the back.
My car sits unused from the end of October through winter till the end of March without problems. I start it once a month.
Get your dealer to check if there is an oil leak on the suspension unit on the dropping side, they are notorious for going wrong and leaking.
