It's based off of an Enzo, it's worth over 3 million dollars.

Is it just me or does it look like it was designed by a policy committee.

I'm terribly sorry if this offends anyone, but that has to be one of the fugliest cars I've ever seen come out of Pininfarina.

Got the car...and the clothes?
Ummm maybe the chap should spend more money on his clothes than the car as if he wanted something like that why not go for the Veyron?

I think the front is cool, though still not as cool and unique as the original Enzo's. The back is just retarded, especially with those bus type exhausts. Rims are ugly. And the comment about it being spider-man's car is sooo true (which isn't a compliment as spider man isn't as cool as batman, ie: the batmobile)

Custom coachbuilding is the bomb for 2006: http://www.fiskercb.com/
e.g. Fisker Tramonto based on SL55

Everything so far was conceptual.

Some details on car (Emailed to me - no link available. Also got a ton of pics of construction, wind-tunnel testing - even the original white Enzo -- but no posty, on proby....):
In early 2005, James Glickenhaus came up with the idea of sculpting a modern version of a Ferrari P car, to be inspired by such classic designs as the P4, 512S, 333 SP, amongst several others. The car is a modern and timeless rendition yet brings back the spirit of the Ferrari racing cars of the 1960's. To accomplish this momentous task, Jim commissioned Pininfarina (an Italian coach-builder who has done the design of many Ferraris) in March 2005. By June of that year the contract to build the car was signed and Pininfarina had located a new unregistered US-spec 2003 Enzo Ferrari (VIN currently unknown) at Ferrari of Beverly Hills which was shipped immediately to Pininfarina to begin work.

One with 4 wheels
1.) Who the hell cares about James Glickenhaus, and what makes him special, other than he has money? Money doesn't buy taste or style.
2.) If I were Glickenhaus, I would've asked Ferrari to build me an FXX. Being different isn't always good.

Interesting............alot of critics out there that probably couldn't afford a set of wheels for an Enzo. What he did was very unique in that he was able to get Pininfarina to redeign a car..............they just don't do that. It is also HIS money to do with what he likes. Well done!!
The car is interesting in that it does recall some of Ferrari's great cars. I personally think Ferrari has lost the styling plot with their new cars, and I would place the Enzo atop the lost plot list. Now hopefully he has the skills to drive the car as it was meant to be driven.

The car is supposed to be a modern version of a P4 (which James G has) as well as an original Ford GT40 Lemans car driven by Dan Gurney that he drives around in NY. He is an avid collector and uses his cars. He has been posting about this car since inception on Ferrari-chat and it is one hell of an accomplishment to get Pinninfarina to take on something like this. Who knows, maybe they learned some new things that can be incorporated into the new ferraris. It may not be everyones favorite design but I am sure James G doesn't care what a bunch of people on a benz forum say about it anyway. He is passionate about what he wanted and had the money to back it up so good for him.

Received more hi-res pics of this car this morning -- and an invite to the "weekend in September" to experience the car.
After looking carefully at it, and after reading everything in my folder on it (which has been going for 6 months), I am more interested in the car.
I have two folks whom have been trying to cram this car down my throat for months....
If I attend the "weekend", or if I have someone attend for me, I will report back here on that.
Purportedly the car weighs much less than an OEM Enzo, and has better aerodynamics -- if nothing else....
And MODS - shouldn't this be moved to Off Topic anyday now...?

Supposedly a nice guy from what I have heard from the two people who know both of us....
I do appreciate anyone who is a 'patron' of the arts -- this is how alot of good ideas become flesh.... Even in the automotive world.
In any event, we'll see what transpires; and I will post anything further from my end on this car...if there is anything further from my end on this car....
Oh - and I'm always nice...until it's time to NOT be nice....
