Ronal Wheels for 2007 SL55?
I read somewhere in the Forum that Ronal from Germany manufactures OEMs for several companies such as Mercedes, Porsche, BMW, Ferrari, Audi, Chevrolet, Dodge and aftermarket companies like AMG, Brabus, etc.
I called RonalUSA and they pointed out some wheels like the LZ series that caught my attention, as good replacement for the 2007 SL55 AMG 19" wheels.

In general (not specific to a replacement for a 19in 07 SL55 wheel) I have found Ronal wheels to be of high quality and excellent fitment.
I also like the fact that they are happy to paint their wheels in body-color match.

The stock wheels on my car are Ronal, made in Poland. A lot of European car makers have component parts made in the former Eastern Block because the quality is excellent and the labor rates are lower than in Germany, France, or Spain.
The wheels are pressure cast, using very fine sand, then machined for accurate fit. They are made of a light aluminium alloy. They are not the lightest wheels, but their durability on ordinary roads is better than similar weight wheels. The engineers have final say over production, not the art directors or accountants.
The coatings and overall finish are a bit easier to clean than a lot of other very high quality wheels.
The price for a Ronal wheel is a tiny bit more, but not outrageous. While Asian manufacturers have improved their quality in the past ten years, it is not yet equal to Europe.

these seem kind of "prehistoric"....primitive....behind in the times....just plain old. So does the website.

The law in Germany states that only OE wheels can be used, As said Ronal make the 7 spoke standard wheels for the 230 no problem there. I have always like their wheels and the quality is high.

I agree - the one in USA looks "old" but in the one above you can even see how they look in the SL car by going through the Showroom and going through the "Choice by cars." The website is also very informative...bari
