Greetings SL Lovers,

I am trying to decide whether to tint the windows of my sl55 or not. It is Black with Charcoal interior. It also has a Panorama roof. I am concerned that here in SoCal during the summers the car may be hotter than normal, even with the shade on the Panorama Roof.

Do any of you members have any insight on how the Panorama roof affects the cabin comfort on hot days? I welcome anyone's experience, observations, and opinions. (Tint or No Tint, Percentage of Tint, etc.)

The factory panorama tint is fine, leave it alone, as far as the windows, almost mandatory.

If your car cranks as many heads as mine tinting is mandatory. I feel like a fish in a fish bowl without tint.

I have panarama roof and it is not hot at all inside the car in summer. It is a mandatory option in my opinion. Tint at 35% is perfect. It matches the panarama roof. Car will be perfect.

Here in NC, window tint is controlled by the State/"Big Brother".....and the Law is that the "tint-detector" cannot read over a "22"......

Or your car will not pass State Inspection.

I would rather not tint it, especially 35 just for the simple fact that your car is nice, and certain cops might pull you over for it. I didn't get tints, and I put a front plate just so I don't get pulled over late night driving home after a party if you catch my drift

I say definitely go for tint!! I myself drive around LA with my windows down most of the time, therefore there are no worries with having my front windows tinted. I say go for it and if absolute worst comes to worst you get a fixit ticket, which isn't too bad.

BUT... I've waited a long time for my SL55 dream car... And I want to make sure everyone sees me in it! LOL!
