Third brake light (clear)
I found the white 3rd brake light on Ebay Germany for 99 euros plus 15 shipping, about 150 dollars shipped.
The search was under "3 Bremsleuchte sl". Seller was "mb schaefer".

I just got mine along with the 07 55 tails from formymercedes.com for $800 plus shipping. Talk to Jerry, great guy.

I didn't think white brake light would be legal here in US. but i also dont spend
my time boning up on all the hoop jumping needed to stay in compliance

then there are ALOT of illegal SL55s running around the states

...that may be, just as there are as many/more who eschew the front plate
requirement. here in WA the brake lighting can only emit amber or red.

The center brakelight is an OEM Part for the 2007 SL55. I don't think it's illegal. (I live in WA and have it on my car, it emits red of course.)

I just purchased the rear left and right brake lights - but not the center.

geez, i understand now....kinda like clear corner lights but with amber bulbs
beneath ....or the silverized bulbs with amber filament. duh. when it was
written as 'white brake light' instead of 'white brake lens' i just didn't get it. tnx!
