Renntech upgrades?
Hello guys,
I have been a lurker since January, and I just purchased an used 05 SL 65. A very nice car I must say. Trying to get a better improvement in performance wise. I have heard of Renntech but after reading couple of horror stories, I must say i am disappointed to hear a company as reputable as Renntech having bad customer service. Can you guys recommend any reputable Renntech dealers so I wont be having to deal with Renntech directly? Or is there another tuning company that can be trusted?

I have heard Cory @ Kleemann is friendly and knowledgeble; cant say the same about Bob Brady @ Renntech. Any thoughts?

ill 4th adam at euroelites. if you deal with adam you will never have to talk to renn directly. he also deals with evosport and evotech. if you wanna read something funny goto the E55 section and look for a thread called cracked kleemann header. a member was askin questions about warranty and other things and the big wig from kleemann came on there and blasted him for no damm reason.

Renntech does make excellent products for mercedes benz vehicles. I deal with renntech all the time and never had any problems with them. I can't speak for everyone here but you can always deal with vendors like adam and myself if you feel more comfortable.

yes i agree with it this way. you get better customer service from a shop other than a big company. the shop has more pull with the tuners and you have more pull with the shop.

Any body want to vouch for Sunil in Houston? I just picked up a new CLS 550 and want to develop a relationship with someone who knows their stuff. For now, thinking renntech ecu, sprint booster, perhaps TCU work, and later wheels, tires, intake, exhaust....

Regardless of which sales person you deal with -- I'll note that all the fast SL65s I know of are RENNtech cars. If there are other tuners making fast -65s, I have never seen their customers posting 1/4 mile times.

We can defintly help you if there is any type of RENNTECH stuff you need. We now do all our ECU Tuning IN HOUSE compared to many other dealers which send out their ECUs to renntech to have them flashed.

Renntech does not own evotech, at one point Renntech was to be the US distributor for EVOtech USA but that fell thru, and yes i concur they are that small of a company
