2005 SL65 w/RENNtech Stage 2, 2013 MB GL550
2005 SL65 Low Mileage or 2006 SL65 high mileage?
New to the board and I'm pulling the trigger this week on an SL65. Just not sure if I should go with a low mileage 2005 SL 65 (under 3000) or a 2006 SL65 at around 10,000 miles. Prices are between $115,000 and $128,00 for either one! Anyone have any suggestions?

Since they are the same cars I would take the one that had better options/color that I liked. Maybe an extended warranty? If everything was equal I would take the 3k mile 05.

I would second that. Lower miles seem to be better. Private party or dealer?

Private party sale. Any help on what tires I should get on my second set of wheels? I'm hearing quite a bit of talk about the tires spinning coming out of the hole. Bigger the better? 20" vs 19" wheels? Wider the better? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The PS2's are hands down your best option, however on a 20x9 and 20x11 setup, the 305/25 20 setup is not available however the 295/25 20 is. Give us a call or PM and we can discuss different wheel and tire combinations.

The closer to the 115 seems fine. I sold mine for close to that over 6 months ago and it was a Silver Arrow car with a 196k sticker, 9k miles and prices have been going down since. Put enough offers out and someone will take one.

Pulled the trigger!!
I decided on the 2005 SL65 with under 2400 miles. I'm paying $118,000 and can't wait to get it next week! I plan on keeping car for at least 5 years and the color(black) was what I was looking for. I'm sure I could've saved a few grand but 'screw it" I want it now!
Has anyone ever dealt with Park Place Ltd out of Bellevue, Wa? They seem pretty decent and the enclosed auto transport will take about 7-8 days to get it to Boston. Love to hear your opinions!!!

I would have done the same, faced with the same decision, ESPECIALLY, if I intended to keep the car for more than a year or two..........

You did good, IMO.
