Pictures of Mr. Wolf's new SL55

Sorry these are not very good but I am using a camera old enough that it takes pictures onto a floppy disc.

Naw, he always looks that way. Haven't you noticed? You should have seen the look on his face last night when I mentioned the SL55 and a visit to Brabus ( interior) at the same time I have still yet to drive it but he is just amazed at how much quicker it is than the E55T.

Wolf is a real bugger about mods. Each time I mention them he tells me about reading about someone who blew their engine yadda yadda yadda.

I dont know, I personally think W211 E55's (sedans at least) are quicker than the R230 SL55. I have both and after some freeway runs a couple years back the E55 always pulled a small lead over the SL. The SL is pretty heavy and that is where it loses out. But the 2007 has more power than my 2004 so that should help a bit. But you do have heavier wheels than my 19 inch RENNtech monolites.

All in all I bet the wagon and the SL55 are pretty close. I think they weight about the same? I guess my info is for a E55 sedan vs a SL55 so its useless in the end!

Is the SL going to say Jims AMG again? I always see him driving around sherman oaks and Encino in Kims AMG. You are pretty generous there Kim!

I have the family of 55's (SL, S, CL and E) and while the SL gives you the sensation of being quicker it really is not ( lower driving position and the wonderful exhaust note ). It is not a fair comparison with my SL that has the RennTech mods but the E is the quickest of the stock 55's. I recently had a street light play action with a 2007 SL55 in my wife's E55 and the E pulled away in a pretty convincing manner.

I am going to have to try that. First to the speed limit kind of test off the line. The SL vs. the E55T.

Nice! Did you say that you don't like the color? I wish mine was black. But in Alabama you take what you can get especially when it had 4k miles. Nice ride!

Very nice. Congrats.

SL55 sounds much more agressive than the E55 and that'll give the impression that it's faster. This false impression is exemplified further when the roof's down.

We have been modding these cars for several years (including mine), and have never experienced any issues of any kind......and I track my cars and drive pretty aggressively.......so let the modding begin!
