Power now at 750 Horsepower, and weight reduced again. It now weighs probably less than half of a Veyron. Any predictions on the acceleration? And to think, Mr. Horacio Pagani is going to release a totally new and faster car in the next couple years. When will the power/accel/top speed wars stop? Zero to sixty in 1.5 seconds? The 1/4 mile in 7 flat? Top speed 300 MPH?![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)

Hopefully it won't ever stop, as long as they try to always make the cars safer at the same time.

The figures sound amazing, but with regards to the design, maybe the old saying that the "evil of good is better" may apply to this Zonda. I'm waiting for the car to transform into some japanese robot or something!

Yes, but somehow they managed to make it weigh less! More powerful motor with few hundred pounds atleast dropped again. I think the zero to sixty should be in the high 2's easily.

I love the Zonda. About 10 years ago a buddy of mine and I were doing the Monaco GP, followed by a visit to the Ferrari factory.
While we were driving through Modena, we passed the Real FINI hotel, and there was a Zonda in the lobby window! We stopped the car and trudged throught the rain to check it out. It was in bare carbon fiber. The detail work was amazing. A true work of art. I've wanted one ever since.

You can still have the Koenigsegg CCX, it will be for sale in the US very soon. 806bhp and 2,600lbs... not that much worse than Zonda R and its 100% street legal in the US and has a nice interior too

Koeniggseg will also soon be selling a 1,100+ Horsepower version of the CCX-R soon also. That should make it about as fast as a Zonda R perhaps. Supposedly it's capable of 255 or 258 MPH.
Also Saleen can sells a 1,000+ HP verson of their supercar that supposedly can hit that speed too.
And some other American supercar, forgot the name (Aero TT or something?) that has over 1,100 HP and supposedly can hit 273 MPH.
Go on youtube.com and look at some of these 1,700 HP and 2,000+ HP Vipers, they could probably hit over 280 MPH. The most bang for the buck is probably a high-boost Viper with a serious twin-turbo set up.![action](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/action1.gif)
