VRUS Camshaft
Victors' latest camshafts took my car from a best 1/4 mile of 12.06 to an11.86. Thanks to you and thanks to Motorwerks for the install. Thanks to Jmf003 for the heads up on the whole idea.

Slip was attached to dragtimes yesterday. Jmf003 turned 12.06 the same day (Saturday- Milan Dragway, Milan, Michigan), and Billy Mains of Motorwerks set a record with his CLK 500. Jokerzwild ran a sweet 11.71 in his E55; also done by Motorwerks. Other mods to my car include Kleeman Stage 1 (ECUand K&N air filters) and Kleeman Stage 2 (Headers).Vrus throttle body, Kleeman LSD, Vrus cams, Johnson pump, Lightweight Carlssen wheels. Work done by Motorwerks in Commerce Township. Never did air box, but maybe in future. Car needs drag radials as it was running on street tires(Toyo's), and maybe a custom tune. Also has Reus Audio, Sirius, with hidden antenna, 30% tint, 07 030 grill and bumper, Euro only turn in side mirrors(thanks Sunil). Soon to have 08 nav screen ( Euro version for passenger to view DVD's). Oh, and a helmut for me as I had to borrow Jmf003's.

At idle the cams are noticeable but barely. They are made to mimic the SLR cams as I understand it. The difference is that they drop right in rather than having to be shimmed and spacers used. They are sold specifically by VRUS, and indeed produced for him. I am not sure of the specs, but contact either Victor at VRUS or Motorwerks in Commerce Township, Michigan, and they will have them. They work, I can tell you that.

The Milan track prep was also terrific, as usual. I had swapped out my Nitto R Compound tires and was running the stock Pirellis that day but posted a 60' time of 1.789 versus 1.850 from my 12.1 run the previous week.

i have the tubes and engin cover installed but i havnt put in the air box yet. i realy doubt you will get anything more that 10hp. but even if its zero hp i still love the way it looks and that is why i bought it. VIC is also gettin my surge tanks coated so my engine will look good at the track.
