When I'm not working overseas, which is one month out of every four; you'll see me on the 14 Fwy. More like a Blur. I live in the Canyon Country area and drive the 14 to Lancaster. What a drive!! Especially in an SL55 AMG! For an even better rush, take Soledad Canyon. It runs parallel with the 14. It's full of tight curves and merges with the 14 in Acton and again in Santa Clarita. Be careful though, I got 3 tickets in two weeks. Thank God I'm a "Dip"!

That 14 used to be a tumbleweed patch. Dodging those things at 100MPH is trick down here on the 133. Xmas morning was like 60MPH wind. Major tumbleweeds flying.

Dip can mean a number of things, but I'm sure this guy means he is a non-citizen guest in our country abusing his diplomatic immunity.
Drive between LA and SF on the 101 sometime and you'll see regular caravans of MBZs running steady 100+ mph with Dip plates.

Yes, you do need nerves of steel for the 2.
I came close to flying off the mountain twice.
I'll admit, I'm too scared to go back.
I guess we'll never find out who was driving on the 14 in an SL55 with the SL65 front.
I was thinking about putting on the SL65 front, but I think I'll keep it stock for now. Now the engine is another story. I have a lot in mind...

Havoc can correct me here if I'm wrong, but I do not believe U.S. diplomats are given special plates to drive around here within the U.S. ..... special plates are only for use within foreign countries.
