new sl55 owner with few questions

Hello

I recently bought an 03 sl55 and have a few questions about my car.

the temperature meter in the dash keep going back from 80 to 100 Celsius. It seems like when i start driving, the meter goes down to 80 and when i stop the car, the meter rise close to 100 degree, is that normal for this kind of car???

Also does any of the forum member happen to have the instruction on how to replace the third brake light, mine is crack, just pick up new one from mercedes and have no idea where to start, it looks too complicated just to replace the third brake light.

I really appreciate the response from forum members

Is your warranty a MBZ CPO warranty or a third party extended warranty?

If CPO, I believe they should cover the third brake light repair

Welcome aboard, htn.

Once the car warms up the temp gauge on my '03 pretty much stays put at 90 C. I'm surprised you're seeing a 20 C swing.

The warranty is from a third party, but it covers everything from bumper to bumper as the original factory warranty, but it has a small deductable

My '03's temp is rock steady. You may need to have the fluid flushed.
