Kleemann K4 package on SL55

Hey guys I am in the NY area and have a Kleemann K4 package that I am looking to have installed. I have a shop that the work can be done in or I can bring it to a place. The only thing I really have the problem with is the cams. Everything else I can take care of. If anyone knows someone that can do the cams by either coming to me or vice versa let me know. I would greatly appreciate it.

I have someone but they probably won't be able to do it until Monday or tuesday. He installed my SLR cams. Let me know if interested. He is a MB master tech. Highly recommended by many that have dealt with him, including me.

Do be aware that the installation of the TB is a little tricky. You will have to reverse the way it workes, compared with the OEM 55 TB.

Also IC is not up to the job. Change the pump to an Johnson 90, and upgrade the cooler, to prevent power loss due to computer shutdown of kompressor.

Once you have finished the conversion, you will need to dyno the thing to get the timing on the computer right.

You will just love it, power without limit, its just soooooo mean ( i have done 220 MPH in mine ) but i seriously recomend an LSD to prevent the worst wheelspin.

Okay. just wanted to check. The headers will give you an additional 30hp. and a deeper sound in the exhaust.

I would love to see some dyno data, when you are finished.

Wait until you add those headers..ohh my...yo will love it. By the way jeff also installed headers for me as well. Just an FYI.

Yea I can do the headers myself. I have a full blown shop. I would have done the cams also but I dont have the benz clamps for the timing chain and gear.

I dont care, what ever you belive it or not.

But i will tell you the story anyway.

It was done on a German Motorway, an early morning last summer. We were on our way to Rotterdam in Holland, and there where very little trafic. We got a long straight, we got the wind from the back, and we maintained 220 MPH over 2 min. (speedometer). I have afterworth got my speedo tjekket, and it is about 2% off, to the low side.

while Im sure you were hauling ***, speedo checks are typically done at around highway speeds.

At speeds above about 120, they can be off by as much as 10%.

Id like to know what the speed would have been on a gps.
