I caught a pic while I was getting my car washed... Needless to say I think he's nuts for going throught an Auto pressure wash with that baby! Let alone in black....Can we say scratch the paint..
Sorry for the bad pic...I was hoping to talk to him after but he didn't even bother drying off the car..
Must be nice.

I go through that car wash a couple times a week, between two different vehicles. It's one of the best touch free car washes I have ever been through. If you buy one of the top tier washes, it does have a drying cycle. The other good one is down at the bottom of McKnight rd.
I think all the SL 63's at Rahal have been special/pre ordered so far. I have yet to see one just sitting there. They do have Harrison's (steelers) 06 SL 65 for sale for around $90k. 5k miles.
I would like to drive a 63. I had an 06 S55 before the Jag, and I'd hate to trade that torque for high revs. I used to love high revs, but now I kind of like torque better. I guess I'm getting old.

Thanks for the pic, it's good to see the new SL's on the road already.
There won't be one in my garage, since I'm not into it's new look.
Hopefully the complete redesign will address the shortcomings of the tack-on areas Mercedes Benz cobbled together on the car.

Yes, I was in the wash with my wife's car ... It's a Denali so I'm too lazy to wash the big ol thing. MY cl is always hand washed though.
Moreover, i've got similiar wheels on my cl as the new sl63 and they are very easily scratched in the "wheel track" of the touchless wash.
For those who don't understand why a touchless wash scratches a car let me explain.
When taking a dirty car through the pressure wash it essentially pushes the small particles of dirt across the paint. This usually leaves small scratches all over the paint which are more noticable on dark colors. Hand washes are 100% better. IMO

I've seen that guy with his car at Sheetz off Rt. 19 near Oxford Athletic Club. He did infact buy it from Rahal. Rahal got the car in for a PNC Bank exec, he didn't like it and passed on it. They delivered another black one from their Shadyside store (MB of Pittsburgh), and recently did a courtesy delivery of a silver SL63 performance package for the bank exec.
