very sick looking! this could definitely be the solution! I'd rather have the 55K engine but the new bodystyle looks!

I will never, ever understand what makes so many Benz owners do these kinda of tacky alterations to their cars. Spoilers from this year, bumpers from this year, lights from this year, grilles from this year, its ridiculous. NO TASTE. A Benz is meant to be clean and simple, not a hodge-podge of different year styling themes. Some nice wheels (not oversized) maybe tint and other smaller things are best (if done tastefully), but this sticking bumpers from a 2009 on a 2005, painting roofs black and adding fake badges is just tacky as hell. Then some here have the nerve to use the term "ricer". I wouldn't want one of these messes second hand even if being given away.

That said there are some people who get this. Their modded cars are tastefully done and then you have those who keep it stock except for the smallest of details....that is the way a Benz should be kept.

M,

let me help you out.... it is hodge-podge-dodge...

I am with you 100% on your comment. If it is that people have too much money then I think they should go buy a Maybach... When i started to come to this forum a couple years ago... I was more "professional" then someone said something stupid and I registered. Today it is like 95% kiddies here and 5% professionally and intelligent people. It is like you can't take anything serious here

I Don't know the total price the guy paid but the parts alone would cost the price of a supercharger.

Keep it clean or buy the new one, don't mix and match.

Although I generally agree with this, I don't see how it applies to this specific car. There is absolutely nothing ricey about the body work. This term refers to the use of comically gaudy exterior work. The "SLR" conversion may qualify, but the updated body on this R230 looks as classy as any '09 driven off the showroom floor. That being said, the wheels and "6.3" badging need to go.

Why would he downgrade with the 6.3 badge on the fender?

And what's with the alcantara on the gauge cluster.
