Some pic of my SL55 (at last)

Well she has 1500 miles on the clock and I've found time to take a few pics at last.

Nice pics London Lad. BTW how much extra did you have to pay for your number plate? And can you register LHD SL55's in the UK?

Tezta, LOL re the plate.

Yes you can register a LHD car in the UK no problem. Prices are quite a bit lower for a LHD though.

Blue.

My S is a bronze colour, I can't remember the name, I think the German translates to burnt silver or something like that.

It’s not silver at all really.

The silver arrow doesn’t show up very well in the photos. I'll try and take some with a better camera in the sun, if we ever get any again!

Graham.

Congrats!

Great car! Every time I see the berry interior, I am impressed how classy it looks

How do you like the Panorama roof? I love ours and I think it looks just as great on a silver car as it does on a black one.

Have fun driving

A left hand drive model with low miles in this weeks sunday times for £67,000.

Givent the premiums the Americans seem to be asking you would think it worth shipping!

Car looks great by the way.

Cleaned my wheels with a toilet brush of all things (a new one ) over the weekend and they came up like new in minutes.

Morebhp, you have 5 spokes don't you?

I can see that this sort of brush would be good. I have a couple of cylindrical brushes but the bristles are on the same axis as the handle, where what you have is radial bristles sprouting from the centre. The centre core needs to the small enough to get into the innermost corners. I must investigate!!

The biggest problem I find cleaning my wheels is that the water does not run off the spokes, so you need to go round and wipe each spoke. 4 wheels, 21 spokes, 2 surfaces, I make that 168 surfaces.

I'm going to investigate using a large desk fan to blow dry each wheel, leave it for a few minutes. My girl-friend thinks I've completely lost it BTW...

I use Zymol Wheel coat which you apply after cleaning them. It works wonders. Much easier to clean the wheels next time.

As for drying the wheels, I use a blower which blows air at high speed and it dries the wheels in about a minute. Also great for getting water out of all the inaccessible places.

BTW, beautiful car.

Would be well over $100,000 for the SL55, shipping, and conversion as the UK Pound is worth more than the US Dollar.

Also you do not receive a warranty.

The SL55 bases at $112,000 US Dollars.
