SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Trapped 121 MPH with SL55 VRP
Because of a somewhat crowded track schedule I only got in two runs, the first 12.032 @ 121.3 MPH and the second 11.960 at 120.0 MPH. My best run before the ECU tune was 11.969 @ 115.7 MPH, so a nice improvement.
I wish I could have gotten in a few more runs to try to crack 11.8. Fortunately there's the November track day at MIR!

If I'm recalling events correctly, this is the ECU tune that resulted from Vadim's close work with Jangy's car. A key part of the overall setup is the large VRP crankshaft pulley. The big pulley no doubt contributes to the strong top end. Vadim found the sweet spot for ECU tune, there's no doubt.
Tires are street, Conti Sport Contact 3s. Slightly more grip than the OEM Pirrellis, but not tons more.
11.7 seconds? I don't know. I'm on street tires, the car is a lead sled, and the driver is no ballerina. Maybe on a really low air density day with the right launch. I am planning to run the car at MIR in November. That will probably be my best shot at it.
