Coolant is 210 or so. Intake at 210 is cooking. You shold be 30-40 over ambient when cruising, 60 after wot but should drop quickly after that.

I think there is no point re mapping your car without further mods, in the old
days more boost meant more power and more heat, so bigger intercooler
required. After re mapping my 600 an extra 100 felt fantastc, but soon
tailed of after a blast, so I bought a Johnson CM30 pump and asked mercedes
to fit it they agrred and knowing them ,if there was a hitch they would have said no. But to my surprise they said they would fit it. When
I picked it up, I could't wait to floor it, but I spent 15 minutes warming her up
and then WOOOOW I pulled out on a dual carriage way and floored it, the
acceleration was unlike I experienced before the only trouble was I was so mesmerised I didn't see something ahead I was going so fast, and had to stand on the brakes, when they pulled in it was foot down, this time the
power was still there and was all the way home. It is easily the best conversion I have ever had, now I use it all the time, It goes like my CL65
should have gone, but my 600 would eat it. Here's one very happy customer
so I think I'll buy one for spare. Johnson CM30

Guys I replaced the IC pump with the later "10" pump from Mercedes, and the car now drives with no issues. Was an easy DIY job, just a bit fiddly with the pipes.

So you get run after run without the SC shutting down? Nice!

They promise 3 times more flow with the Johnson Pump than the stock pump
and I for one believe it, and no I don't work for Johnson. It's about 150 bucks
much cheaper than other after market brands, only a little more than MB
part. Oh god I can't stop driving it.

I have a temp read out of my IC water tank which is fed by a Killer Chiller. Recently I have noticed from the temp read out that the IC pump doesn't turn on sometimes and have confirmed it by looking into my tank and seeing no flow. The problem is intermittent as sometimes when I start the car it is working. My tune turns it on as soon as the engine starts. I suspect that I have a faulty relay. I am having problems finding the correct relay. Can anyone help? Cheers.

I believe I found the relay for the IC pump. I started the car and the pump was working this time. I found the lower of the two relays visible stacked at the front turned off the pump when I removed it. I now will go and buy another relay and see if it fixes the intermittent pump failure to start.

Well, it seems the relay was not the issue as the IC pump still stops working while driving or sometimes does not turn on at start up. I hope someone can advise how to wire it so it turns on at ignition on. I have tried a search. It seems searches for 'posts' often show totally unrelated ones without any of the key words in the text.

There are 2 wires coming off the pump. I believe they are brown and black.. BLACK is ground. The BROWN is the power trigger...

Disconnect the harness from the stock pump.. This will allow you to keep the factory connector intact.

Connect a new wire to the BROWN pump wire and run it up to the fuse panel that is shown in the pics above. Put an inline 15AMP fuse on it and splice it into the RED wire you see from Albert's pics.

Connect up a new wire to the BLACK pump wire and connect it to a suitable ground point.

That RED wire will have power when the car is in accessory or start mode. The great thing with this is if you are in the dyno room or staging for a 1/4mile blast, you can put the car into Accessory position and the pump will circulate fluid for you.

found this for e55 but i believe its the same layout as the sl.
