SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: SL55 MIR Run: 11.421 @ 121.23
I actually had back-to-back 11.4 second passes six minutes apart. This was the second pass and was marginally better than the first, both in ET and trap speed.
Car #55 in the other lane was Blackbenz's CLK55, a really sweet ride.
Looks like the package seems to be working well. That is an incredible time for an SL body.

E63 Biturbo, UPD Cold Air induction kit, UPD performance crank pulley and UPD adjustable rear suspension with ride height adjustment.
CL55 UPD Cold Air Boost kit, UPD 3000 stall converter, UPD 77mm SC clutched pulley and beltwrap kit, Custom long tubes, UPD crank pulley , UPD suspension kit, UPD SC pulley, Aux. HE, Trunk tank w/rule 2000 pump, Mezeire pump, UPD 5pc idler set, Aluminum rotor hats.

My best run with some mods but before the VRP pulley and VR600 ECU tune was 12.127 seconds @ 118.37 MPH. After adding those mods I dropped 0.7 seconds off the ET and increased the trap speed by 3 MPH.
Some of that improvement was weather related (DA = -1,267 on the faster run versus -12 on the slower) and driver related (60' = 1.693 on the faster run versus 1.850 on the slower) but most of it was certainly due to the VRP pulley and VRP engine tune.
Also amazingly, there is only one Dragtimes-posted 55K run on street tires with a lower ET, DJE55's 11.389 second run in his E55. It's unusual to see an SL55 with ETs in line with the faster E55s.
Definitely a combination of good tuning, a good track, and good weather conditions!

Amazingly the ET is even lower than Stephen K's NOS-powered run of 11.496. Looking at his overall numbers, its clear he was making a lot more power than me (trap speed of 126 MPH) but it looks like the tires didn't want to stick to the pavement with all that power (60' of 1.956).

Ahmad, I appreciate the kind words--actually, I appreciate the kind words from all the follow-up posters--but I think your car is even more impressive. How many MB's generate enough torque to snap their rear axles? You've done a great job setting up and running your car. It was a blast running head-to-head against you.
