Using my first post on this board to try to keep this thread going. I'd love to see some more SL55s, especially with unusual rims and body kits.
Is there a replacement hood for the SL55 that's available? Something in carbon fiber with a bit more menacing shape?
I haven't joined the MB ranks yet, but I'm looking to get an SL55 in the next year (and will keep the M3).

Hey AMG Girl, i think i have seen you or your fience driving that green Lambo Murci around sunset and crescent a few times
Speaking of Crescent and Sunset, if you go up the hill a bit on the corner of Crescent and Lexington is Marciano's place, he has a sick car collection in his front yard, 5-6 ferarris, 2 phantoms, a G Wagon and 2 or 3 lambos, a friend of mine lives a few doors up from him on Crescent and told me that he keeps the ferraris for his house guests to drive
If anyone gets a chance to drive by there it is the first house on the corner with the big *** budha statue and musical notes in the front yard, it is kind of the epitome of Beverly Hills lifestyle to me . . .
Anyway, since i don't own an sl yet here are some pics of some custom 55s i found to keep on topic

never posted a pictuire. 06 SL55 with 030 Performance package in Mars red.

Hey AMG fan, nice...
can you tell us about your steering wheel and emblem, and about painting your calipers? Is the paint holding up OK, and did you put the AMG decals back on them?

allenjdmb...the emblems all came from Ebay. The steering wheel was from DCT Motorsports...do a search on "steering wheel" under W211AMG subforum and you will see a thread they started.
The calipers were professionally painted, then the decals were placed and clear coated over...they hold up great. I did the same thing on my E55 (black calipers with silver AMG decal) almost 2 years ago and they are still good as new.

I know I am mostly in the CL65 forum but that is my, " sorry to say " favorite car of the bunch but I thought I would still post a few of my SL65.
