I think that's incredibly good value. I assume they had to collect the wheels, remove the tyres, take the wheel apart, turn the rim on a lathe, repaint and deliver them back plus tax for $110 the pair.

Yeh not a bad price, and seems they did a good job too. But PLEASE post pics of the whole car with the now good wheels, the pic with the car behind the wheels looks great, with the black paint blending into the darkness.

Heres the 'Before' picture again.
I have had a proper look at the invoice which was actually a bit cheaper than I said. It was Machine rims 2@£15.00 =£30.00 2 Valves @ £2.00 = £4.00,2 wheel balence @£4.50 = £9.00 total £43.00 plus tax £7.53 Total £50.53.
This included delivery and collection.
The edge of the rims are polished, so a repaint was not needed.
That's what I call good value and service.

Good value certainly but ludicrously under-priced for the service they are providing. Given each wheel costs, what £400, most of us would pay much more than £50 to get the problem sorted on two wheels.
The same money will buy you about 35 minutes of Mercedes Tech Time, which is just enough to get them off their backsides...

Saw this one in Miami!
I saw this SL55 at Miami. I think I've seen pics in this board of a similar one in a garage. I wasn't a fan of the FAB desing and exhaust but I gotta admit in person it looks AMAZING!. The wheels are great in black! I never thought a black car with black wheels will look so hot!!

Its the Internet .. learn to deal with it and don't take it personally, although I am surprised that blueSL said it because I've read a lot of his posts and it sounds out of character for him, but its the Internet .. beware.
