SL 500

2009 SL550 STEERING WHEEL

Hello,

I have a 2005 SL500 and would like to swap out the steering wheel for the

new 3-spoke steering wheel on the current 2009 SL550. Has anyone done

this or had it done? How much did it cost?

Be careful. I started down this path about 1 month ago when trying to update my 2003 SL55 wheel. It ended up costing me over $80k. Of coarse that was because I got a new car

It's plug and play, BUT !!
Make sure that you get an R230 specific Airbag.

This is because the buttons on the steering Wheel uses different BUS signals than others with a similar airbag, R171, W219

Steering wheel itself fits from R171, W219

Paddles might need a paddle converter
