SL55 AMG
Car is turning out beautiful!! Gotta ask you about 2 things:
(1) the steering wheel...where did you get that?
(2) Your rotors, they look like 2 peice floating from the factory, is that true? if you don't have the 030 sport package then would those rotors fit onto a non-030 sport package SL55, I'm liking those rotors for my car, looks like you have the sam AMG calipers as all the SL55's and 65's...
thanks man!

2. The car is a 2006 SL65 so I am assuming they came stock.

A couple things...
1. The steering wheel is only temporary...DCT Motorsports is building a carbon fiber version of that same flat bottom steering wheel. It should be ready in 3-4 weeks.
2. The exhaust sound has been "adjusted" and it sounds fantastic...a deeper sound with some meanness while at WOT.
3. The flat hood emblem will either be a black AMG or Affalterbach version.
4. The Kleeman ELM has been installed, but they were fine tuning it when I had to leave.
I'm picking up the car tomorrow so I'll have pics after it is cleaned up a bit....

Hey AMGfan,
I'm really digging everything that you have done and I really like your flat bottom steering wheel and the AMG Logo instead of the MB star in the middle of the wheel!! Very Cool my friend!!!

I got the car back today...A couple of things:
1. We have decided to remove the rear SL63 spoiler and repaint it satin black.
2. I got the wrong replacement bulb for the driving lights, so they are still that yellow hue I can't stand. Working on it...
3. I love the drop with Kleeman ELM...
4. The new rims are not on yet......next week sometime.
5. I've decided to remove the rear bumper and replace it with the SL63 or SL65 rear bumper/diffuser (with the diffuser painted satin black)...see pic below as an example:

Some of the mods are over the top for me, but I am sure this car will get noticed!!
Looks like your shop is doing first rate work - this turned out very nice!!

I'll have a better idea next week but from what I hear it's probably close to 2G's (not installed and only for the bumper)...

All the parts will be MB/AMG OEM parts...I have the part #'s and in the process of shopping around for the best price. I already have the retail and wholesale prices from MB.

A small detail...
It looks much better in person and finishes off the keyless go shift knob perfectly...it is just a carbon fiber bit that I found trolling Ebay. I don't think it was meant for this purpose and to be honest with you I don't know what it is for but it served my purpose.
Before:
After today's delivery from China (stuff you find on Ebay is amazing):
