E55 Fuel Injector Problems SLR
hi
I got a E55 Amg 2004 and i have replaced the injectors with SLR ones, they fit straight in. Has anyone tried this and had any problems?
Fitted them Yesterday and they where working fine, but know i can notice a flat stop when i flaw the car from stand still, 7 out of 10 times they work fine but i can notice a power shotage sometimes, the mid power is fine and the power is fine when i am rolling.
Has anyone had these problems>??
i think i need a remap or have been told to place a fuel pressure regulator in, but the standard one is built in the fuel tank with the fuel pump ???
Can anyone help me?
thanks in Advance

Not sure about how much the slr injectors flow but I presume they flow more then the sl55 ones. If they do you need to have a tuner calibrate them which is one of the most time consimg part of a custom tune. The only reason it works ok right now is probably becAuse they re close to the so ones
So or get the custom tune that includes injectors calibration or you go back to oem spec injectors
Hopes this helps

why have you changed the injectors?...you just cant put different ones in a car and expect it to work without a remap.
...i certainly wouldnt be driving it until a remap...or just put the correct injectors in!

The SLR engine and The SL or E55 has the same Engine Block , thats why they are working and fit in.
The e55 run on 3.90 grams per min of fuel at 3.8psi
The SLR run on 3.39 grams per min of fuel at 3.8 psi
Spoke to bosch and got the info,
Looks like i will get another remap done again after i changed my headers.
Thanks

as I said the tuner will need to first calibrate the new injectors (flowing more...) then remap to get the best out of them... but I think it mght be point less to run bigger injector the stock one flows enought, I am not sure at % they are runing at WOT but with benz you can except them to leave enough buffer
so YES a retune will be fine just make sure you tell your tuner that you have bigger injectors.
Are you sure that the SLR injectors flow less then SL55's? seems strange to me

Hi as far as i am aware the E55 and SL55 injectors have the same flow and the SLR has the Most but i have to check this with bosch as i need to get a part number for the SL Injectors, will keep you updated.

Can you give us the Bosh P/N off the SLR injectors please? When going to bigger injectors you most definitely need a retune. Did you go to SLR injectors because your 55 injectors were almost at 100% duty cycle or for other reasons? Thanks
