Best independent suspension shop in So Cal Area?

I have a new SL63 with a rattle in the floorboard that MB cannot and or will not fix. They say it's normal and despite test driving 11 other SL63s and 4 SL65s I cannot duplicate the "normal" problem I experience daily.

Therefore, I need independent help. Can someone recommend an independent shop in So Cal, Vegas or Phoenix that pays strict attention to detail and gets the job done right. I will pay top dollar for their time.

Sounds to me like you ....

need another MB dealer. And I wouldn't hesitate to call that one out, once you get the problem fixed. If you're in Socal, there must be dozens in your area....

Forget MB service totally incompetent.. I'll pay cash to fix it. I want to get on with my life and stop being angry every time I drive the car.

I understand your frustration....

believe me. I have had many similar issues throughout the years.
But let me mention this to you:

If you find it, and it's something other than a loose bolt--or even if it is a loose bolt--have you given thought to how your MB delaer is going to treat you when you go back and tell them what they missed? And what their stance is going to be on future warranty claims relating to the same thing? (Don't think they won't do it to you.) And all this on your $120k car?

I'm just saying, don't shoot yourself in the foot in the long run. Have you discussed this with your MB zone rep? Have you let the GM at that store know that they are going to get a 0 on the survey? Somewhere out there there has got to be a tech at an MB dealer that knows what they're doing.
Just trying to help from lots of bad warranty experience. Good luck.

Dealership incompetent. Tech specialist says "normal". Letters to MBUSA and regional service manager unanswered. E-mail to AMG rep and response : " MBUSA case manager will contact you" No one has in 30 days. Every time I drive the car I get angry.

So, given the complete lack of competence by the dealership , tech specialist ignoring (or hiding) the obvious, and total disregard for customer service by MBUSA, I have no other choice but pursue an independent evaluation.

Would probably cost 2k in labor at a maximum to sleuth the problem. MBUSA loses a long term customer worth a lot more then that.

Did you check the handbrake line?

Did they check the exhaust mounts?

FIXED PROBLEM.... Rattle completely gone !

Had to spend $500.00 of my own money at a non dealership Mercedes authorized repair facility to have the tech do the work. But essentially the problem was three or four loose connections and a loose under pan. They also showed me the car had been previously lifted incorrectly.

It is absolutely incredible that I was unable to have this addressed at the dealership and that the "tech specialist" said it was normal as well.

Totally unbelievable
