I have an order for a SL55 coming in August but my dealer has one coming in nextweek, but it has every option that you can get on so its a little pricey. My question is should i take it?
Here are the options on it:
Black/Black
-Distronic
-Parktronic
-Active Ventilated seats
-Panaroma roof
-Tire pressure System
-Bi-xenon lamps
-Burlwood trim
-Keyless go
-NAV cd collection
-Mototrola V60
-Turbine(20-spoke) wheels

I get it for sticker should i go for it???

That's AWESOME! How dissimilar is it from the car you ordered? If terribly so - make a deal with the dealer that you'll take it, and then sell it back to him when your new car comes in...

I wanted either black/red or silver/red with the following options:
-Keyless go
-turbine rims
-aluminum trim

But i doubt the dealer will deal on it...

G-baby,

You'll be very happy with this one Some of the additional options are great and at MSRP you can't get it wrong. Regarding the burlwood, I have the same and the wood is much lighter than standard Mercedes burlwood I have had before (somewhat between the chestnut and std. burlwood). Looks really nice with the color combo.

By the way, on a day to day basis I appreciate the keyless go and the panorama roof options the most (given that I have to drive with the top up in the winter).

Is the interior black/charcoal or black/black? I have never seen a true black SL55.

When you get, post some pics!

Great move taking it now, you get the whole sping and summer. The car is loaded with every option. I have one that I should take delivery on this Saturday or next Monday and I ordered every option except the Distromic so my car was $2,900 less. I think with a car like this you will never have any regrets getting it loaded up! Enjoy, and have fun. Do not forget the Pics.

Right decision, especially since it's available at MSRP, must be a cancelled order I guess. It'll be nicely broken in for the spring and summer as well... enjoy!
