You'll need the ENTIRE SL63 rear bumper, few have + I know of (4) more doing swap, it's straight bolt-on NO fab work needed, tho you'll possibly need some other small bumper under parts to fit it correctly from the SL63 model to work on older pre-facelift R230's![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
The shape/size of the NEW SL63 diffuser is totally diferent from pre-facelift SL500/55/600/65 R230's if retrofitting? major cutting to stock bumper would be needed, plus pro bodyshop to bondo/smooth out, re-paint bumper. It appears much easier to do the entire rear-end swap...

i would get more than the diffuser if i were you!
why not get the real thing! forget a cosmetic upgrade, get an sl63. the sl63 is a great car!
the "diffuser" won't give you the visceral rumble of the sl63 exhaust not will it give you the thrill of manual shifting with the mc tranny!

Because I like V12s and liked my car for the past 5 years with no intention to change it...but my bumper is cracked for an unknown period of time. If I'm going to fix it, might as well upgrade it.

The 63 is a great car. But I prefer the power characteristic of my 55K.

The hollow sound created by running gutted mufflers on the already quiet V12tt is awful, just throw them in trash (trust me on this, the extra work involved to gut stockers isn't worth spit, besides the sound is krap on V12tt, I heard 1 @ perf shop)
