The silver is gone. What do you think?
Couple more shots. I am taking the wheels of the SL55 that is pictured and having them painted to match the color also, just the spokes as they are now. I think that will be the look I want.

Had SL63 gills painted to match the color of the exterior of my 63(Diamond White). Also, had the little fins on the hood painted to match the color of the SL.
Looks much better.

Much cleaner look...+1 on the orange fender reflectors...I'd go clear or black.Originally Posted by okbarnett

I never understood the silver side grill at all...it looks horrible on a red SL63, too bad the first 63 I ever saw last year was this combo and it kinda ruined the whole experience for me! ...OP car looks great.
Well done buddy. I can't stand the stock ones. A mistake of taste from MB IMO

can't believe you made the post today!! i just returned from my local bump shop where i made an appointment to have my fender inserts painted next week! i was also thinking about painting the silver SL63 and the mercedes symbol on the rear of the car black. the bump shop claims this will be more difficult as the parts are thin, cannot be sandblasted and won't hold the paint very well unless the surface is "roughed up".
