04 SL55 (sold),05 SL55, 09 SL63, 07 C2S cab Porsche,
I used to own a 05 SL55. Got in a similar accident in 06 when a woman drove around a backing up firetruck and hit me head on while stopped in the center lane. 50k worth of damage and they wouldn't total the car . The body shop: Exoticar in Vegas rebuilt the car to as good as new. I couldn't believe it. Seriously, the car was as good as new. 3 months to do it, but sometimes if you get a reputable shop, they do good work.
None the less, no one drives my cars but me .
BTW, oxygen.... is that a viscosity formula? been a while

For an '03, yes it's totaled. The insurance cost/value calculations don't take the Renntech mods into account. Probably wouldn't matter anyway.
Not immediately obvious from the pics: The exhaust system was damaged. The ABC system probably needs work. The front axle is damaged. (You can see where the front right rim was hit.)
It's a bummer for your friend, but we all have to learn our lessons one way or another.
Btw, please let me know if he would be interested in selling any parts off the vehicle. I have an '03 SL55 with the same interior scheme.
