I am looking for feedback on removing the V8 Kompressor badge over the side vent fins...here are my considerations:
  1. remove completely and leave it naked
  2. remove Kompressor and replace with 5.5 AMG (spoofed '09 design as in my avatar)...leaving V8 5.5 AMG
  3. remove completely and replace with 5.5 AMG (spoofed '09 design as in my avatar)
  4. leave it alone, if it ain't broke don't fix it
I'm leaning toward option 2...anyone care to share their thoughts?

I removed all badging from my cars. All the text and slogans on the side/rear are ugly IMO.

I am finding that those in the know, recognize an AMG

For me, quad pipes are proof enough at first glance....and of course, in motion, the engine speaks for itself

I just really like the updated look of the 5.5 AMG badge

If you are going to "rebadge" it, you might as well be accurate and go with 5.4, IMO

Some sites call it a 5.5L engine, others call it 5.4L engine.

Technically, at 5439 cc, yes it is what it is but are you saying MB is "inaccurate" with their labelling of the 6.2L SL63?

And if that's the case, why didn't MB label it as the SL54?

No worries, opinions are what I asked for and I appreciate all of them...is it the '09 logo style that your not a fan of or the combination of the V8 and the logo?

I shaved my side logos... to me, the logos made the area behind the wheel well too "busy". I like the clean look.
