Feeler. Selling SL55/LCLS55 P30 performance package wheels!
Putting out a feeler.... Would anyone be interested in these wheels? They are the 19 inch p30 performance package wheels of the Sl55/CLS55. They are the multi piece design with rivets. In perfect condition. I will have pics on monday there is any interest. They are a very expensive upgrade from the factory like 4-5 k per wheel or something outrageous. Thanks for looking.

Max. Your description of the wheels is wrong! SL55 and CLS wheels are not the same..
Max,
Sorry to inform you ( I learned the hard way) the SL55/65 19" wheels and the CL/CLS/S etc 19" wheels are NOT the same.
The SL55/65 wheels are staggered 8.5x19 and 9.5x19 with the offset at et 25F-31R. These wheels are made in Germany. The dealer cost is stupidly high but they are offered all of the time as take offs for a fraction of the dealer price.
The CL Wheels are also staggered 8.5 and 9.5 but the offset is et 44F-46R they also need much longer lug bolts and they are made in Italy(Chromadora). These wheels are also offered at a much lower price then the SL55/65 wheels. I mistakenly bought a brand new set in the Mercedes boxes for $1,100 and had trouble selling them to get my money back
The CLS/S class 19" wheels are not staggered with 8.5x19 front and rear also with a different offset and also are made in Italy.
You need to remove the wheels and read the size and offset to know what you have offered for sale. They also bend (flat spot) VERY easily even when they show absolutely NO damage.

These are the performance package wheels from an SL55 and they are staggered. I was told that SL and CLS wheels are the same and can be swapped. That is strange, I don't see why they would not stagger the wheels on the CLS55 with performance package. Are you certain? I don't know about the normal CLS or SL. Just these in particular. Will get some pics monday. Thanks.

Max. The wheels look exactly the same on the CL and CLS.
Max,
If you are 100% positive they came off of an SL55 030 then you dont need to check but I have seen several sets mistakenly described as 030 wheels that had the 44mm offset.
The 25mm and 31mm offset puts the wheels wider out to fill the wheel well and gives the car about a 1 inch wider stance which is better for handling.
Just because they are staggered does not mean they are the same. Even the staggered CL wheels have the different 44mm offset. They look exactly the same as SL55 030 wheels and it is impossible to tell without taking them off...
In reality there is only about 1/2 +/- inch difference plus they require the longer lug bolts.

The ONLY CLS wheels that wont fit SL55/65, are the CLS base NON-AMG Models w/smaller Calipers/rotors
Where did Max, mention CL 55?

Here are some pics I took on my camera phone. The wheels look mint and yes they are the real deal of my friends SL55 with P30 performance package. 19x10 for the rears i think the fronts are 19x8.5 or 9. They are going up on ebay and I will post up a link shortly. Thanks for looking!

Also get shots of the size and offset numbers they too are cast on the back of the wheels.
With a part number beginning with 171 they could be from an SLK55 with the 030 sport package.
