Update: AMGfan SL65 rear bumper conversion
Well, the SL63 rear bumper/diffuser conversion is underway. All the pieces that need to be painted are getting done today. Hopefully, we will have the pieces by tomorrow.
The rear bumper will match the color code for the rest of the car...the rear diffuser and new 63 rear spoiler will both be satin black to match the other trim pieces on the 65.
Here are a couple of pics of some of the parts before they went to the bodyshop...
What it should look like...more pics when completed!!!

This is gonna look great with the colors you have selected. I can't wait to see the finished project. I would want to do this in carbon in the rear to match my rear wing and front lip.
Where did you get the bumper???

Will that bumper bolt straight onto the car or are you going to have to do modifications in terms of brackets etc? (i'm assuming that you wont be needing to cut the bumper since its going to paint!) also, what about the PDC?

I got the SL63 diffusor bumper on my ride too. Converting the old PDC sensors to the new bumper was the hardest piece of work. The new sensors don't work on pre 2009 models.
So you need to cut the old brackets from the original bumper and put them into the new bumper, to be able to use the old sensors. Their diameter fits quite good though...
