Opinions on Lowenhart LDR with a Silver SL55

I've been shopping around for rims and may have found a good deal on a set of 20" Lowenhart LDRs for my Silver SL55.

Here are two pics I found of what the combo might look like... What do you think? Too "blingy"?

Have to agree. Everyone has their own tastes, but you asked for opinions...

Please don't deface an SL55 with those rims. They're absolutely horrible.

I agree with everyone. I have a silver sl55 and I went with a set of 20" iForged wheels with the silver face and the polished lip. I think they look great and offset the car perfectly.

If you go with those you need to install hydraulics to make it bounce like a low rider.

Hey Buddy,
you have a AMG,check out e bay for a set of 19" oem AMG rims,
the cl65 all silver rim looks awesome on the sl55 in silver.
I bought mine off a guy in Ohio for about $3500 including tires, the tires were in very good shape and should be good for another 25 to 30k.
If you need the guys name shoot me an e mail and i will forward on to you.

happy motoring bc brit

i had those same rims in 19inch on my 99 Clk a few years ago. 1. I wouldn't put them on a SL55 and 2. They are so soft.. bent the rims nearly every week off of simple speed bumps etc.

Looks like it's unanimous. They don't work for that vehicle. In fact, I'm not sure what MB they would look good on. Problem is that there's "tooooo" much chrome.

Well, I decided to go with these from cecwheels.com:

Style c725 in Liquid Silver:

The center cover hides the lugs and gives it a nice sleek look, IMO...

HRE. They are forged wheels. Light and strong.

I got my wheels mounted last night...

I just need to now get it lowered.

Running Pirelli's 245/30 up front and 305/25 in the rear.

Here are some pics.
