Second, he never asked about PS2's. He specifically asked about the A/S Plus and the T1R. I can only comment on the A/S Plus, technically only people that have used the A/S Plus and the T1R can really give him comments he asked for. Not sure why the PS2 was brought up in the first place.

oh please!
the guy wanted advice and the words Michelin Pilot were mentioned, as far
a I know a/s may be PS2 in the states, so to be on the safe side I mentioned
that I had a problem with the PS2 which he may have considered.
A few members seem to know the problem with PS2's, and one mentioned it was called the Michelin wiggle. Stop picking holes, and personality bashing,
we are here to help each other and share experiences.

The PS2 is the PS2 in the states. It's not a "personality" bash at all, you have to be clear on these types of things. The A/S Plus like I stated 3 times is not the PS2, thought that was clear.

It's no problem of sharing experiences, that is what the forum is all about, but my point still stands. You can only comment on tires you have used regarding what the OP asked about. The A/S Plus and the TR1 Toyo, hence the title of the thread?

Don't take this the wrong way, it's a not a argument. It is what it is though.

I am beginning to think you have a problem! When I posted a thread about a rear wobble on my 63 fitted with PS2
it was several members who said it often happens, and one said it was called
the Michelin wiggle. The guy said Michelin Sport tyres, we don't have the a/s
here in the u.k. And he didn't just ask about Michelin, he was open to recommendations, thinking the PS2 could be the a/s I warned him about my experiences, then he wouldn't get lumbered with tyres to sell.
Michelin said, the a/s are all weather tyres , sold mostly in the US and rarely
in the UK. They also said the PS2 and the PS2 cup ( for track use) are the
best tyres for high performance cars.
Apparently excluding the 63!

Let's not argue, this is foolish. You are way off point.

His question from the start: "Need new tires, looking at the new Pilot Sport A/S plus that have pretty good reviews and a 45k warranty and my dealer wants to put on Toyo T1R, anyone have experience with either?"

In bold is what he specifically asked about, there wasn't an open statement on tires. (Not even on other Pilot series) No problem on this end, in order to recommend something you must understand what is being asked and actually used what is being asked about.

I am done with this.

For my CLS55 AMG, I drive on Toyo Proxes 4's. I looked at both the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S and these and from everything I've read and experience, I love these tires for half the cost. They are quiet and extremely good traction in wet weather. The Toyo's rate very high by user reviews. Hope that helps.

I just put a set of Hankook's to try so far so good. Going up Hyw 20 (Cascades) this weekend and will get a better feel for them then. Had Pilot sports and they were great, P Zeros I just took off with my SL65 two piece wheels (and put in storage not for sale ;-)), were not very good, grip poor and would chase the ruts on I-5.

Changed to the 09 63 wheel, what do you think?

.
I broke down and bought two rear OEM Pilot Primacy tires - after reading all of the tire posts. My issue was less noise but good traction. I thought of all the times I stopped way short in 60 mph+ hostile traffic. Compared to telling my boss that I'll have to pull of the road and call her back, the stopping was more important.

BeltFedBob, I'd also like to know more about how you like the Hankooks... I have a set of Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 20's on order from TireRack, but they are backordered. I might have to wait a couple of weeks.

I've had Hankooks on my SUV and loved them.... a great tire for the price.

FYI... here is a recent review of the Hankook's:

Well, Tire Rack informed me that the Hankooks are backordered until mid September.

So, I went with Pirelli's. Oh well.
