SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Need tires- Pilot Sport A/s Plus or Toyo T1R?
The problem is this: You are saying "Michelin wiggle". That wiggle only applies to the PS2, which was never asked about. Lumping all Michelin tires and saying they wiggle is not correct and leads people to think "hey all Michelin tires have this wiggle problem". Misleading.
Second, he never asked about PS2's. He specifically asked about the A/S Plus and the T1R. I can only comment on the A/S Plus, technically only people that have used the A/S Plus and the T1R can really give him comments he asked for. Not sure why the PS2 was brought up in the first place.

the guy wanted advice and the words Michelin Pilot were mentioned, as far
a I know a/s may be PS2 in the states, so to be on the safe side I mentioned
that I had a problem with the PS2 which he may have considered.
A few members seem to know the problem with PS2's, and one mentioned it was called the Michelin wiggle. Stop picking holes, and personality bashing,
we are here to help each other and share experiences.

It's no problem of sharing experiences, that is what the forum is all about, but my point still stands. You can only comment on tires you have used regarding what the OP asked about. The A/S Plus and the TR1 Toyo, hence the title of the thread?
Don't take this the wrong way, it's a not a argument. It is what it is though.

it was several members who said it often happens, and one said it was called
the Michelin wiggle. The guy said Michelin Sport tyres, we don't have the a/s
here in the u.k. And he didn't just ask about Michelin, he was open to recommendations, thinking the PS2 could be the a/s I warned him about my experiences, then he wouldn't get lumbered with tyres to sell.
Michelin said, the a/s are all weather tyres , sold mostly in the US and rarely
in the UK. They also said the PS2 and the PS2 cup ( for track use) are the
best tyres for high performance cars.
Apparently excluding the 63!

His question from the start: "Need new tires, looking at the new Pilot Sport A/S plus that have pretty good reviews and a 45k warranty and my dealer wants to put on Toyo T1R, anyone have experience with either?"
In bold is what he specifically asked about, there wasn't an open statement on tires. (Not even on other Pilot series) No problem on this end, in order to recommend something you must understand what is being asked and actually used what is being asked about.
I am done with this.
Changed to the 09 63 wheel, what do you think?

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I've had Hankooks on my SUV and loved them.... a great tire for the price.
FYI... here is a recent review of the Hankook's:
