Putting Some Rims on a SL55 today, 20x11.. Go Wide.
Today we are putting some 20in Rims on a SL55... Went with the larger 20x11 rear that has the extended 5 inch lip...
Should have this done tomorrow... With the RennTech V2 ELM Installed....

They have been around for quite some time.... They are very popular overseas.... They make all types of tires, including Race tires for bicycles... Just in the past year they have been gaining popularity in the states.... So instead of knocking them (like i did at first)... Put a set on a car and try them out... The price point is rather good in aggressive sizes... If you want PM me and i can get you set up with them....

so if you in the tire bussiness for 14 years.. so if a customer ask about vredestein..what you gonna tell them? "if they work. are they ultra cheap or something".?.....does that sound right? Anyway..VRedestein are nice tires..i like the cool thread design pattern.. but suck it can only mount one side...can't swap sidewall...

Alot of tires are like this, not sure if the right term is "asymmeterical", but they can only mounted one way and outside/inside specific. Older Pirellis were like this as were a set of Conti Sport Contacts I had.
Vredestein has been around for a while and yes popular over seas. They use to run ads in the popular car mags here but have since stopped. I wouldnt have a prob running these tires at all.

These are not left/right directional tires and this tire is supposed to be on the left side?
The reason I ask is that I have never seen a V-shaped tire pattern that goes in that direction.
You are the expert and I'm not so I might be wrong and in that case all I can say is that i learned something new today, always good

These are not left/right directional tires and this tire is supposed to be on the left side?

There is a guy here locally that has the same wheels on his SL55, and the rear offset is wrong. I don't think these wheels are made for the R230. You can see it in your picture, the rear wheel sticks out almost an inch passed the fender.
It will "work" on a non-lowered SL, but it looks super hooptie in person...
