SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: New SL or used SL63
My lease on my CLS63 is up in March and I'm looking at what I can get next. Looks like I can get a new SL550 for about $90k (09 heavily discounted) and there are several SL63s used for about $90k (With about 5-10k miles) out there too.
having driven an AMG for the past 3 years I don't think I can go back without getting really depressed and I don't want to pay full price for a new 2010 SL63 cause I'm not a baller like that

Opinions regarding this decision?
SL55 when it comes to selling it.
Sorry I mean SL500 or 550.

With that out the way, my advice Trez would likely be to find a pristine SL63 with less than 30k and FMBSH. I normally prefer new cars but since you are coming from a 500bhp 6.2 with huge brakes you'd really notice the 120bhp disparity between the two. The SL550 is a fast car with great brakes but compared to your CLS63 it's a fairly slow car with moderate brakes.

My only question would be if they will match a good lease rate to a used 63 as the good offers are usually restricted to untitled cars...?

look as different as the AMG. In fact i saw a new Sl350 the other day and from the back it looked like the old shape, so go for the 63 AMG.

I'd try to find an 09 with just a little miles, you can buy one easily $20k back of MSRP. That net number is about $50k cheaper than a new SL63. Just food for thought.
