The FAB Gullwing, is it still the white one he showed at the Tokyo
Auto salon in Jan. 03. ?????
Still no low henches in the doors, so they flap out in the bottum against the front wings ???

Stunning piece of engineering ?????, you must be kidding !!!
I feel sorry for Kleemann that somebody confused their product with this crap from Lorinser. But on the other side I am quite sure the guys at Kleemann see it with a certain sense of humour and had themselves a good laugh. Stunning piece of engineering....my god.
An concerning the Gullwing doors I would only trust one company to do that job: Kleemann. I feel quite sure that FAB design never will put this into "production". The quality is just not good enough.

Guardlimo..
I think Mr. Rieseneck from FAB is very serious about putting his doors into "production", the FAB SL in Tokyo was white and sold to a Japanese customer, the car had to be air cargoed back to Schwitzerland to finish the doors after the show, the Geneva SL is a different car, so now there is at least two.
The FAB doors have a major design problem, the upper hinge is the original, just turned approx. 45 degree so the door opens up.
The major design problem is...... There is no lower hinge .....
Nothing holds the door in in the buttom, so the door simply flaps
out. The OE lower hinge is removed and the space used for the hydraulik cylinders which open and close the doors. ( see pic. from London Lad ).
I can see from the pic. that there is no design change since Tokyo, and in my oppinion those doors will never come close to a 100% function.

The weight is not the problem, the hydraulic cylinders will take care of that.
The problem is when the door is closed, then there is no lower hinge, the door is rotating only over the upper hinge and nothing is holding the door in place where the low hinge was suposed to be.

the doors do look great! cept i find very little real life use for the car in white, but the kleeman doors, if they go straight up, those i might consider.
