Color matched, painted, front and rear bumper mesh?

I was wondering if anyone knows of any pics that have the wire mesh of the front and rear SL55 bumpers painted to color match the vehicle? I have silver and was wondering how it might look....

I saw that done on one of the benzes at a local dealership, I think it was a E55 in silver, and it didn't look good at all.

I say keep it black

I found these pics of an S55 with the AMG logo painted in silver... but, IMHO, I think it's like typing emails in all CAPS, shouting to the world that you are driving an AMG...

I might have to play around with Photoshop a bit to see what all silver would look like.

I've seen it done on other cars not necessarily ours, but yes it usually looks a bit overkill. Depends but most of the time just too much.

I wonder if anyone makes a billet aluminum grille that could replace the black wire mesh?

A photoshop expert I am not, but I'm thinking something like this:

What's wrong with the mesh? did you loose the clips like most of us? or do you just need a little change? you got the mod fever going dont you? I think leaving it alone would be key.

What about the interior? do a nice carbon interior with that silver exterior that would look great, that is my future mod.

HAHAHAHA and those liars say that the economy is bad. I got an Idea for you, I'm not sure if you are much into carbon fiber at all but what about a front lip and a rear SL65 style spoiler in Carbon???

This is how it looks on silver

This is a mod definetly worth getting, fitment is great and installation is super easy. It will really make your car with thos wheels on there.

mesh grills

Take a look at the racemesh web page, they have a couple of sl shots on there,i quite like the look of the polished mesh.A friend of mine has a sl55 that he is ordering the polished mesh for.
He has a black car,i think it will look pretty good,he has also just put the single fin grill on with the chrome mesh backing to complement the polished mesh when it is fitted.
I am waiting to see the outcome before i commit.
I think this will suit black cars, not so sure about silver

happy motoring bcbrit
