Hey Fantasm, how are you liking your GTR? I was thinking of picking one up in the next year or so but wonder what your likes and dislikes would be about it since you own one. Sorry to go off the topic but saw fantasm's post and decided to ask. You can PM me an answer.

ya, you have to drop it... otherwise it will look like a stagecoach, especially with 20's. I have 305's on 11 inch rims in the back and also put on 5mm spacers to be sure.

IF YOU HAEV THE CORRECT OFSET WHEEL, YOU PROBABLY DONT NEED SPACERS,BUT IT DEPENDS ON YOUR WHEEL.

Can someone tell me what is the correct offset for the SL55? Or does it vary based on the width of the wheel?

BESIDES THE OFFSET, THE SHAPE OF THE SPOKE MATTERS FOR THE BRAKE CLEARANCE, IT HAS TO CURVE AROUND THE CALIPERS.

Asanti
I went with a 20 with a 305 for rear and 255 for the front. I liked the fact that they were made for the vehicle and not just off the shelf.

youll be able to see any height problems as you lower it, if it looks like something is too close, raise it a little. chances are you will be satisfied with the look even when it still got some more it can go down
