Smashed the stock SL55 1/4 mile record!
I ran at PBIR (South Florida) a week and a half ago with the dragtimes.com crew.
It was 65 degree's out with a DA of around 400.
My car is 100% stock with only K&N drop in filters. No tune, no pullies and stock Toyo T1R tires.
I ripped off two 12.1's in a row. I have one of them on video but am still waiting on the person to upload it.
These cars are majorly heat sensitive, so I bought a Scanguage II not only to monitor my IAT's but boost and timing as well. When you park a supercharged 55 car, the intercooler gets heat soaked. You MUST idle the car for at least 5-10 min before you do your run or you could be down 30rwhp due to high intake temps.
I slowly drove up and back an 1/8 mile straight before each run to bring my IAT's down to around 109 degrees. This was the secret to my fast runs IMHO.
SL55's seldom run at PBIR. Shame.

Fantasm, the timing was not off. I ran 12.1 second runs in both lanes and did a bunch of 12.3's and 12.2's throughout the night.
Fikse, Sleepdoc and others were there to verify.

On my car the best setup is.
1. Toyo T1R tires at 38 pounds in the rears. (lowering psi doesn’t help)
2. Put trans in S mod
3. Turn trac off
4. Run around the water box
5. Do a two second quick scrub of your tires (foot on break and give it half throttle)
6. leave the suspension high at normal (do not raise the suspension)
7. Left foot on break but don't give it any gas at all. Don't load the suspension up or
break torque.
8. When the light goes green take about a second to go full throttle. Don't mash the
throttle.
9. You have to be smooth on the throttle off the line!
I did a throttle ECU reset before the first run of the night.
You HAVE to make sure your IAT's are low before the run our by the 1/8 mile your car will loose power do to the ECU pulling timing. Trust me, I know from experience.
Here is a pic of my scanguage II installed. (to monitor my IAT's et)
