Video of the stock SL55 record run

I will be installing a Renntech Stage 1 package this week.

I truly think the car had an 11 second run in it. I only ran the car twice on this night.

No, the fastest times for stock SL55's are 12.4-12.5. Most people run high 12's.

If you read my how to on the link above I think others could get close to my numbers as well. 60 foot and low IAT's is everything.

Don't look past Sunir's SL55. His car ran many 12.03s-12.05s with nothing more than an ECU flash. The flash was done at the track!

FLSL55, Are you the original owner of your SL55? Are you positive it doesn't have any ECU work done? Is the speed limiter still in tact?

If it is truly 100% stock, that is a fabulous time.

I attended the 1 mile run in Miami a few months back and the limiter is still intact. Hits 155 limiter hard.

I had Renntech hook up their programmer to verify it is stock.

I wonder what sunirs car ran before the flash. My guess is 12.5 or so...

Hi Kamil,

The car was at full weight with more than 1/2 a tank of gas (MOBIL!) . I think it's funny and not very honest when people take their seats and carpet out, LOL.

Take a look at the link in the first post. I made a short writeup of my settings and how IMHO I was able to manage these times in a stock SL55. It's kinda a DIY SL55 drag racing how too.

I did try dyno mode once and It didn't improve my times.

Renntech is doing the install. I think I'm going with a 180mm pulley.

My other run was a 12.1 as well at the same mph.

sounds about right...I think it would have been faster if we had drag radials instead of my regular 19" wheels wrapped in street tires..

Yep, that was my car. I took it on the track. Pulled hard on an 06 Gallardo on the back straight! I now have a stage 1 Renntech mod.

Damn you man!! Now you've done it. We have got to get together i need a seat of the pants experience so i can get motivated and do the upgrade on my car. That Gallardo was a screamer, lot of fast cars there and its good to hear the 55 held its own. Clean car, big fan of the Silver.
