Still no proper photos yet. But I took her out to Target today and stopped for hand wash since it was filthy. I don't think I've posted pics of my smoked front lenses yet, so here ya go. Car is lowered with SDS, but gonna drop her down a little bit more, I think.

Don't know if it's the wheels or is it just my car, but your car looks a lot lower than mine and I'm SDS lowered, too. Guess it's about time to install my links.

Seems every car is different with SDS lowering. At least, that's what my tech told me.

I just want to be honest, but I am not feelin the tinted headlights. Just sort of cheapens the look of the car. You also have to get the european impact strips to delete those hideous orange reflectors. Everything else looks good.

Savini Forged. Since they're custom made, you can get them for almost any car.

I hear ya. The smoked lenses were not in my plans. When I went to get the windows tinted, they wanted to try the Lamin-X product on my car to see what it looked like. In the end, it cost me nothing out of pocket for that. But, I will say that they do look much better in person. I'm still not sure if I like it or not. I think painting the housings, but keeping the lenses clear is a better solution. This was done, spur of the moment, on a whim.

Good news is, it peels off, as it's just a thick film.

Clayton...what tint percentage did they put on the headlights? They only put 30% on mine and it didn't seem too dark in person (the interior parts of the headlights were painted)...it maybe the cell pics that may make it look too dark...

It's definitely not as dark as it appears in my iphone pic, but they are a bit darker than yours. They didn't use window film, so I didn't choose the %. They used a product called Lamin-X, that comes in predetermined colors. Mine is called Gunsmoke (http://www.lamin-x.com/)

But most likely this stuff is coming off. I'll either leave them alone or paint the internal housings and keep the lenses clear.

I love that look, who did it, what did they charge and have you had any issues with them fogging up?

I agree w/Marcus (@ 1st I loved the look but after staring @ it I'm over it) I'm goin Jon's route painting housing etc..

This shot makes your wheels look Gi-Normous like 22"s I'm sure lowering more will fix this

Lastly, did you notice a loss in power w/these heavier 20"s vs your lighter 18" stockers? Must've lost 20+ rwhp

Like it. I would do a LM. Very easy. Up/down with only a push on the button.
Also like the window tint. A shame it's not allowed over here.
Keep her clean.

Sean, I think these wheels are actually lighter than my OEM 18s. Tires probably add a couple of lbs, but nothing noticeable.

I can still break those 305s loose at 50+ mph.

Bor bro the car looks very noice with the Savini forged wheels rounding out the look! I agree with the headlights...Jon's done the best job in my opinion with exacting tasteful mods and treatments...I'd def go painted inners and maybe if anything a very light tint on the covers...in fact let me know when you get this done and where...maybe we can get a better deal doing both cars at once lol...although on silver it's just not the same as black treatments on a black car

I like your tail lights...the AMG tails are a good add on, I prefer the '03 - '05 tail lights as the factory smoked section are darker than the late model cars.

Thanks Sunir. Ahmad got his done somewhere local, I'll talk to him and see where.

Yeah, probably. Not on the top of my list because they don't bother me that much. I'll probably get clear ones, rather than paint them black. Either that, or get the euro strips without marker lights.

Dude those Savini forged wheels makes your SL look a lot more aggressive! Once you lower it it'll look perfect. Congrats and Job well done!

What brand and size of tires are you running?

These pics look sharp!

Here's some better pics. I'm running 245/30/20 and 305/25/20 ContiExtremeContact3's. The tint has since been removed from the headlights. Looked cheap, in my opinion.

BOR if your looking to give some smoke look to your lights, I can get you in contact with the guy that did them on my car.. he has lifetime warranty. Right before I bought the car one was fogging and he fixed it.. hes in MD.. what you have to do is do it like the corvettes and the SLR.. they paint in INSIDE of the headlight, so the light output isn't compromised -- there is no material (paint or vinyl on the actual lights), and it doesn't look totally black, just the inner.. It looks amazing.. I would have this done on all my cars now.. here are some pics:

sorry the glare sucks, but the last pic on the left side (no glare) you can see how it looks, and how its diff then film on the headlight.
