I could tell you once arrives at home. It will take at least 2 more weeks to get here-PR.

Rick, did you get the RBS diffuser or the AMG style one?

Had one just installed in an SL55 last week.
Bumper fitment was good on the car's body though lots of modification needs to be done for the rear parktronic sensors. The CF Diffuser fitment to the bumper was so so.
Overall, it's worth it for the price you're paaying to get an updated SL63 rear look.
Took about an entire day for the install..

Did you buy the bumper with the parktronic holes already in it and if you did, did you remove the brackets for the sensors and use pre 2009 brackets and sensors or did you use a bumper without parktronic holes and drill your own? They seem to be epoxied on the bumper. Has anyone tried using a 2009 sensor in the parktronic bumper or is the plug in different for the wiring harness?

what was the problem with the diffuser fitment to the bumper? were there gaps between the diffuser and the bumper that you had to fill in? or was the diffuser to large etc.?

Saw a 2009 sensor today and it wont plug into the 03-08 wiring harness. It has 3 pins and the 03-08 has 4 pins. Still trying to decide if its worth removing the parktronic sensor brackets and replace with pre 2009 or just sell the oem bumper and diffuser and go a different route.

Very interested in knowing how it works out for you, quality, fit and finish wise. I just bought a carbon fiber rear spoiler, so this is the logical next step for me.

The bumper came pre-drilled with the 4 holes. You have to remove the sensors (4 of them) from the plastic holder in the original bumper with all the wiring and put them on the new bumper. I secured them with glue. Took a bit of time as removing the sensors were not so straight forward from the ori bumper.

Slight gaps with the diffuser. The fitment is a clip on but I glued mine in to the bumper as I didn't trust the FRP clips. Overall it wasn't too bad unless you view at 3 feet away..

Chuck...thanks. The biggest difference with my case is that I bought the SL63 bumper from MB and then updated to the Revozport rear diffuser and undertray. Also, I don't have the rear sensors which made my install much easier. The fitment and finish on mine is near perfect...

Guys if you could post pics of the rear that would help...

What I would like to see is the top of the bumper just below the license plate and between the taillights ( the part you scuff up if you dont put your luggage in carefully). Is there some kind of trim piece? All the Sl63 bumpers I've seen have like 4 or 5 oval slots and holes and I'm wondering if there a trim piece to cover that up.
Thanks

Not sure what you mean by the 4 or 5 oval slots but these are pics I took today. This was the SL63 bumper I ordered through MB.
PS...Sorry the car is a little dirty...just got back from the golf course.

Yeah, I will be following suite with you as far as purchasing the OEM 63 bumper from the dealer. I just don't know if I will do it now and attach it to my Sl55 or wait till I get my Sl65 in two years. I could remove it and place the old bumper back onto my 55 and just transfer the bumpers to my 65 and just get it repainted huh?

Were you able to fill in the gaps to create a nice flush fit?

I had to largen the 4 pre-driller holes.
For the sensors, you can actually re-use the rubber outings and put them on the new bumper. But they do jut out a little. I have pics.
Am new at this but can someone advise how do I post the pics on the forum?

Thanks for the pics. The matte trim piece just below the rubber trunk seal was what I was missing. Thanks again for the help.

This is what I do:

1) Using USB cable from camera to my laptop...download pics to My Pictures folder.

2) Go to www.photobucket.com (you have to open an account) and either upload pics individually or in bulk from My Pictures folder to my photobucket account.

3) Once uploaded onto photobucket...now you can go from photobucket to posting pic onto MBWORLD

a. You are given 4 options next to the pic you want to share

EMAIL & IM
Direct Link
HTML Code
IMAGE Code

b. Highlight and right click on your mouse and click on copy the IMAGE code.

c. Paste that copied address onto your MBWORLD thread.

I like using this method because the images are much larger than uploading directly from my My Pictures folder onto MBWORLD via their upload process. However, I am not an expert so someone else might have a faster method to post.

I use photobucket, and I think they have a nice toolbar that makes things nice and easy to access if you plan to post a photo more than once every other week.

Just wanted to update for those that are interested.

Got my rbs diffuser, undertray and spoiler from revosport.

I used an oem sl63 bumper and the diffuser fit almost perfectly. The only part was along the top right edge where it meets the oem bumper it protrudes about 3/16" of inch further out then the left side. keep in mind that unless you are a perfectionist and stared at it for 15 minutes you would never notice it.

The under tray went on well. But we never could figure out how the metal brackets were supposed to be used. The instructions don't cover it. There supposed to be optional pieces and in my case we couldn't see how they could physically fit without pushing the under tray out and down.

The spoiler however was a different story. There was a good 1/4" gap on the drivers side and it would not sit flush. I had the parts sitting in my house for almost 3 months before i got around to getting them put on.

I sent an email to ken at revosport and it took a couple days for him to get back to me. He asked for me to send him photos and in about a week and a half he had my new spoiler on its way to me. Hopefully this new one will address the fitment issue of the spoiler.

All in all I had a great experience with them.

Blacked out tailpipes are the best idea ever. They should be delivered as standard from the factory.
