If the seat is far enough back or the steering wheel is already set high enough easy entry won't do anything.
Just to see where the threshold is do the following:
set the steering wheel as far down as it will go, then pull key. The steering wheel should go up.
Adjust the steering wheel up to see where it stops working
The same things goes for seat, sit the seat as close to the steering wheel as possible and see if it slides back once the key is pulled.
